Recording At The Den Studios
Our recording studio is fully capable of recording upto 256 tracks of 24 bit, crystal clear digital audio, more than enough for any production project, be it a full studio album or a quick demo. The core of the studio is an Apple Mac G5 computer system and a quad core audio PC running Logic Studio, Protools 8 and Propellerhead’s Reason 4, with processing power from UAD2.
Our external pre amp collection includes a GAP Pre-73 Neve 1073, Focusrite Octopre 8 channel pre amp, Focusrite Voicemaster and Focusrite Trackmaster mono channels and will soon also include the highly sought after Black Lion Audio Autuer stereo pre amp which is currently being hand made for us.
Because most recording is conducted in the control room these days we’ve built ours the same size as our main live room to ensure a comfortable and productive session.

Our plugin selection for Logic/Tools is extensive and features the industry standard plugin’s you’ll hear on virtually ever hit record produced today.
We use UAD’s awesome Neve 88RS channel strip (if its good enough for Abbey Road.... it’ll do for us too.) as well as one of the most highly regarded compressors in audio history, the Fairchild 670. To top this combination off we also have a Pultec EQ system, heard on more hit records than any other EQ in the history of music.
